As a Database Architect, you will drive data integration initiatives and manage complex data ecosystems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across all company databases and data platforms.
The activities will include (but are not limited to):
Design and implement a unified data architecture that meets the needs of all departments, with a particular focus on engineering tests, production, logistic data and mission control data integration.
Develop and implement data mining strategies to extract valuable insights from engineering tests, production and mission data, using advanced analytics techniques.
Create predictive models and pattern recognition systems to support mission planning and engineering optimization.
Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality and compliance across all company databases and data platforms.
Collaborate with IT, Engineering, R&D, and Mission Control teams to standardize data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
Lead data integration projects, ensuring alignment with corporate digitalization goals and space industry standards.
Implement metadata management systems to track data lineage, usage, and quality across the organization.
Create and maintain documentation for database structures, data flows, and integration processes.
Establish standards and best practices for database management and data integration, promoting their adoption across the company.
Supervise database administration activities, including backup, recovery, and performance optimization.
Manage and optimize database infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises solutions.
Provide technical guidance for cross-departmental data initiatives and troubleshoot complex data-related issues.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or equivalent qualification.
At least 6 years of experience in database architecture or data management with a focus on enterprise-level data integration.
Specialization in data management, database administration, machine learning or a related field will be considered a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication in English.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & SKILLS
Proven expertise in enterprise RDBMS platforms, including MS SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and non-relational databases.
Strong background in data modeling and database design to ensure efficient data structures.
Experience with ETL tools and data integration technologies for seamless data flow across systems.
Knowledge of data governance and metadata management to maintain data integrity and compliance.
Advanced skills in database security and performance optimization to protect and enhance system efficiency.
Proven expertise in data modeling and database design
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark for handling large-scale data processing.
Expertise in machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis for data-driven decision-making.
Ability to leverage data visualization tools and reporting systems to present insights effectively.
Experience in time series analysis and anomaly detection to identify trends and irregularities.
Demonstrated success in managing mission-critical databases and testing data environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset to address complex data challenges.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead complex data integration projects and collaborate across departments.
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
Experience with space and defence related technologies and systems and related knowledge of space industry data management requirements and quality standards.
Specialization or certifications in Data Mining and Advanced Analytics (preferred).
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent attitude towards teamwork and cooperation.
