Researcher at the HILAB Laboratory:
Job description: In close collaboration with the Head of Lab and R&D Department the role encompasses:
(a Research & Development: conduct R&D activities on both internal OMCD Group projects and external initiatives, including those co-funded by the European Union.
(b) Laboratory Support: provide technical and analytical support for the production of Ready-ToPress powders at the OMCD Tek Hub and Hardy Metalurgica facilities.
(c) Analytical & Commercial Support: perform materials analyses and offer scientific assistance to the OMCD Group’s commercial division.
(d) Process Development & Plant Management: develop, commission, and, where required, oversee the operation of raw-material recovery plants.
(e) Methodology Development: develop and introduce advanced analytical and design methodologies typical of materials science.
(f) Production Unit Assistance: provide technical support to the production departments across all OMCD Group companies.
(g) Reporting & Dissemination: draft detailed reports on conducted activities; prepare and present conference papers; publish articles in specialized materials science journals.
Essential requirements: (a) Solid knowledge of Materials Science, particularly in the field of inorganic materials produced by Powder Metallurgy route; b) Familiarity with analytical methodologies applied in Material Science and with the principles and methods underlying the design of experimental activities and data analysis; (c) Proficiency with software used for reporting (Microsoft Office and OpenOffice suites), data analysis and modeling (MATLAB, Origin; experience with Thermo-Calc is a plus); (d) Excellent command of spoken and written English; (e) Aptitude for scientific research and the development of production processes; (f) Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset.
Desirable requirements: a) basic knowledge of italian language (level A1/A2)
