The Site Section Engineer for Mechanical Technical Building Services is responsible for coordinating and supervising the installation of various mechanical technical building services on the project site. This includes trades such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, plumbing, piping and pump systems. The engineer ensures the correct, timely and economical assembly of these systems, adhering to contractual obligations and legal regulations, particularly regarding EHS regulations. Additionally, the engineer organizes and participate on necessary inspections with our partners, contractors and customer to ensure the overall functionality of the technical building systems, aiming to hand over the installed systems to commissioning in time and in compliance with the contract.
Duties and Responsibilities - Advise the erection company within their scope of responsibility to ensure project objectives - Technical supervision of mechanical installation scope in line with project requirements - Project controlling (e.g. time schedule; progress monitoring/forecasting; weekly reporting; list of open items, continuously conduct risk/opportunity management and identify/record/report non conformances, final documentation) - Interface management between disciplines/partners/contractors/engineering/customer/third parties - Examination of Method Statements provided by contractors - Supporting the Permit to Work system and EHS regulations - Report deficiencies to initiate project specific solutions and provide/agree solutions for eliminating deficiencies - Participate on installation checks
Qualification - Extensive technical knowledge in the field of building technology (heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, plumbing, piping and pump systems). - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent (preferable technical building services). - Very good knowledge and experience in the installation of technical building service equipment. - Good experience in leading and coordinating site teams. - Good knowledge of applicable rules and regulations regarding occupational safety and accident prevention. - Minimum five years’ experience in the designation. - Team orientation, functional management, leadership, communication skills and teambuilding skills. - Good written and verbal communication skills in English and preferable Italian - Cultural awareness. - Knowledge of international Health and Safety Standards - Knowledge of respective national and international codes/standards
